Wool Runner Sneaker (Women)

First I will say, these are SO comfy. I love the footbed, and the insole is so soft. However, I think they run big. I usually wear an 8. 5 and have a very narrow, skinny foot, so I was very wary about sizing up. I ordered a 9 anyway and it was HUGE. So I returned for an 8 and it was still too big. It fit more like an 8. 5 in my opinion. The toe box is wide and my foot was sliding around a lot. So I settled on a 7 which was a little snug, but they have stretched in the past week and fit much better. They are so cute and have the perfect slim profile.

I started my Allbirds journey with a pair of wool runners, then a second pair, then some houseshoes, then some boots, then a Tree Runner and another Tree Runner. Well, the latest wool runner isn't like my first pair, bought about 5 years ago. This one's wool seems thinner, less luxurious, the innersole seems thinner, the shoelaces are a lot shorter! (I like the original shoelace length; I could double tie them. ) The packaging still earns my respect for being biodegradable. The fit is good. They are comfortable. I've only worn these for a few hours so I can't attest to their suitability for all day urban wear. I hope they stay comfortable and wear well for 5 years like my first pair. So I'm giving them a four star and after a year of wear, maybe they will earn a five star I hope.
