Dreadful to say the least...
This is NOT matte. Creamy with shiny dry down should be the description. Was highly disappointed with this formula. At the price point it should perform way better. This feathers and separates upon application. If you want matte from Chanel try the crayon. At least pigment and smooth application is there.

Color Swatches
Eternal is not like the photo swatch online, it is more orangey. I really wish Nordstrom or these cosmetic companies would do better on color swatches being more accurate. Tom Ford and some others really do a good job swatching on the arm in different shades of skin and on the lips. I do not like retuning lipsticks but I’m not keeping ones that are way off.

Perfect Deep nude for fair/light Skin tone
I was looking for the perfect rose/nude. I am fair/light complexion with yellow/warm undertones and many lipsticks look to pink on me and/or the nude/brown makes me look awful. I bought the shade 128 ROSE NOCTURNE Which the perfect combo with more of a burnt orange hue that cancels out the pink. I finally found my perfect shade ☺️

Great color; Works best on hydrated lips
I love the saturated colors and matte finish of Chanel's Rouge Allure Velvet Extreme lipstick. Application and appearance are better when my lips are moisturized first. I have had difficulty reapplying later in the day--better to wipe off everything and start all over, which can be a hassle on the run. But still worth it for me.

Finally! A matte lipstick that does not dry my lips, but stays on under my mask! I am hooked... got 2 colors.... Modern and Ethereal .... the first a peachy nude (pictured) the latter a rosy mid-color. Wearing them everyday... saving me from the chapped lips of stains!

Fabulous wearing power and saturated color
Purchased the muted fushia which is fabulous! I usually pick a few new Chanel lipsticks twice a year. This one was a nice surprise!
