The Darted Barrel Leg Jeans: Raw Hem Edition

I love these jeans so much! They are a barrel style without being over the top barreled. They do run on the bigger side. I an 5’2” and 118 lbs. I typically wear at 27 or 26, but the 25 fit perfect! They hit me right at the ankle, and are made of a nice soft, but structured denim.

These jeans are just the right amount of barrel if you are wanting to dabble but not commit to the full barrel leg. As other reviews mention, they run big! Size down 2 sizes. I’m typically a 26, tried a 25 and still too big. 24 fits just right! Love these!

The Madewell Darted Barrel Leg Jean has a nice weight material, fun color, and cute style, but they run BIG! I'm 5'2", 165, with a curvy build and usually take a size 12/12P in jeans. I purchased these in a 31 and I'm swimming in them. Plenty of space through the hip and thigh. Returning this pair, but hoping to reorder in a 30 (or 29?) if it comes back in stock. Would need to cut the raw hem a couple inches as well.

These are super cute, and they are really soft. They feel wonderful. But, they run very big. I typically wear a size 27 and I sized down to a 26 and they are still too big. They are sold out in the size 25, so I can only hope they restock.

After reading the other reviews saying to size down, I took a gamble and ordered my usual size. They are oversized by design, comfortable and roomy. Since the are loose and cropped, they pair well with a fitted shirt and cute shoes.

These jeans are incredibly cute and comfy. I’m obsessed with the way they hang off my hips. I’m normally a 26 or 27 I sized down to 25 and they are still a little large but in a good way. They are 100% cotton but only barely shrunk when I washed and dried on high heat. I’m 5”1 and they are the perfect length on me in my opinion although they would be cute a little cropped too! Which you could easily cut the raw hem.
