Check Print Woven Shirt Jacket

I purchased this thinking it would go with pants and a skirt I have from a couple of years ago. I have appreciated that Eileen tends to use the same fabrics from year to year. Trying it on together, I kept thinking something was off. And, yes. I probably should have noticed prior to purchase, but this is a different fabric with a similar check. The jacket is cotton while my pants and skirt are linen. The linen is a much more relaxed fabric and does not look right with the stiffer jacket. For someone who just wanted it to wear with other things, it would probably be fine. I love black and white checks, but do not love the stiffness of the cotton pucker fabric.

This can be worn buttoned, unbuttoned or partially buttoned. Something could be worn under it. It is NOT boxy. (More interesting than the regular EF streamlined basics I see these days: Colors and fabrics are great, but there’s not enough interesting stying). I also like that the matching pants make this a fun ensemble. And it looks great with black pants.
