Pleated Sleeveless Minidress

I bought this to wear to a resort but ended up returning. Even though it’s true to size (the straps and arm holes were fine), it’s just wayyy too much material making it very unflattering. I appreciate that it’s 100% cotton but it’s a stiff poplin material that doesn’t flow, just sticks straight out like a giant tent. Additionally, there is an awkward little liner inside that only comes down a few inches, like a bib. Not sure what the point of that is. I like the overall design, especially that it’s a bit longer in the back for modesty, but it was ultimately disappointing.
